Five-fingered descendants of the Ancient Dragons, awaiting the storm

The Beastmen of Farum Azula
'Curved greatsword of colossal size forged of dull iron and wielded by the beastmen of Farum Azula. The blade is incredibly heavy, but well-balanced. Comparatively easy to wield for the damage it delivers.' The Beastmen are the dragon-kindred warriors of the floating wreckage of Farum Azula : tall, robed, lion-headed creatures with five-fingered hands, the canon's sign of inherited intelligence from the Ancient Dragons whose city this once was. They serve as the priesthood of Placidusax's mausoleum. They patrol the slowly-falling stones of the suspended-time city. They have been there long enough that no one alive remembers when they first took the office. Their iron is dull because the storm of Farum Azula does not let metal hold a polish.
'Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirits of two Azula beastmen. Spirits of beastmen from doomed Farum Azula, the slowly crumbling ruins in the skies. These ruins are said to be the resting place of an old, primordial god.' The Beastmen's syncretism is the canon's quietest theological contradiction : they revere both the Ancient Dragons (their racial ancestors) AND the Erdtree (the Order that destroyed those ancestors). The Erdtree's clergy at Leyndell tolerates them because no one else can perform the dragon-cult lightning rituals. Their cookbook is the Beast and Dragon Apostle's Cookbook, the source of the Tarnished's bestial-incantation crafting recipes. By the late game, when Farum Azula begins to crumble fully, the Beastmen do not flee. They wait for it. The storm has been coming for so long that it might as well be home.
