Tree of golden order, body of grace, prison of the queen

The Erdtree
The Erdtree is the great golden tree at the heart of the Lands Between, both the source of grace and the gravitational anchor of the Golden Order. Marika established it as the visible body of the Elden Ring: every soul claimed by its grace returns to its roots, every birth in the realm occurs through its sap, every demigod's lineage traces back to her union with Godfrey at its base. To kill the Erdtree is, literally, to kill the law that makes the world coherent.
Inside the tree lives Marika herself, sealed there by Radagon as punishment for shattering the Ring, and at its highest crown the Elden Beast curls around her body like a star wrapped in golden hair. The Tarnished cannot enter the Erdtree until Maliketh is slain and the Rune of Death is unbound; only then does black flame fall and the Erdtree burn, opening its bark to the long climb up to the throne. Even consumed by fire, the tree's outline remains: the Ashen Capital is built into its smoking corpse.
Elden RemembranceRemembrance of the Elden Beast. The shape of the Erdtree was forged from this beast's body, and so the beast is the Erdtree's anchor.
One of the ancient Erdtree incantations. Heals a vast amount of HP for the caster and nearby allies. The Erdtree once flourished with abundance—yet it was only for a fleeting moment. Such is the course of all life.
