Hunter-tribe of Siofra, awaiting buds on their flesh

The Ancestral Followers
"The ancestral followers believe that the horns of a long-lived beast continue to bud like antlers, over and over again, until the beast one day becomes an ancestral spirit."
From the Clarifying Horn Charm description
The Ancestral Followers are the hunter-tribe who walk the underground rivers of Siofra and Nokron, sworn to the Regal Ancestor Spirit and the smaller Ancestor Spirit beside it. Their faith predates the Erdtree by ages and refuses to be absorbed into it. The Fur Leggings flavour text states their position with rare clarity : 'The ancestral followers keep their distance from the Erdtree, awaiting new buds. They are certain to sprout from their very flesh, and indeed, their souls.' What they wait for is to become ancestor spirits themselves, to grow horns out of their own bodies, to be antlered like the great stags they worship.
Their theology is recorded in the Clarifying Horn Charm flavour text, the canon's clearest statement of a non-Erdtree afterlife : 'The ancestral followers believe that the horns of a long-lived beast continue to bud like antlers, over and over again, until the beast one day becomes an ancestral spirit.' Their weapons reflect that belief, the Greathorn Hammer 'imbued with the power of ancestral spirits,' the Horn Bow that 'imbues arrows fired with magic damage', and their architecture is the underground temple-clearings whose ritual fires they tend through nights longer than any Erdtree priest's vigil. The Tarnished, descending into Siofra, walks through a faith the Erdtree's priests would say does not exist.
