The Ancient Dragon-Men are humanoid dragons of pre-Erdtree origin who walk Farum Azula's parapets in armour of ribboned bone. Their faith is the older one, predating the Capital's later dragon cult that Godwyn helped found, and their lord is Placidusax, the Dragonlord whose seat lies at the heart of the storm beyond time. They are the storm beyond time's living staff, dressed in cloth and bone, swinging crescent blades.

The Ancient Dragon-Men cast the original red. They are the canon's last witnesses to a regime in which dragons ruled and the Erdtree did not exist, and they patrol Farum Azula's halls for as long as the Dragonlord's dethronement can be postponed.
