◈ CHARACTER

Dragonlord Placidusax

Pre-Erdtree Elden Lord · Waiting in the Storm

"The Dragonlord whose seat lies at the heart of the storm beyond time is said to have been Elden Lord in the age before the Erdtree."

From the Remembrance of the Dragonlord

Placidusax is the pre-Erdtree Dragonlord, Elden Lord of an era predating the existence of both the Erdtree and the Greater Will. The Remembrance of the Dragonlord: "The Dragonlord whose seat lies at the heart of the storm beyond time is said to have been Elden Lord in the age before the Erdtree. Once his god fled, the lord continued to await its return." He ruled with his own god, an entity distinct from the Greater Will, which mysteriously fled or perished. Abandoned by his divinity, Placidusax refused to leave his post and continues to wait, suspended in the sandstorm of Crumbling Farum Azula, a city outside normal time, outside the Erdtree, outside all standard cosmological context. His combat form reveals multiple heads (some ghostly), reflecting his nature as a multi-aspect Dragonlord. His attacks: golden and lightning tornadoes, teleportation through wind vortices. "These are the dying wails of the Dragonlord who once dwelled eternally beyond time" (Placidusax's Ruin description). He is accessible only by lying down in a specific nest at Farum Azula, a gesture symbolizing homage to a being still waiting for someone worthy of his audience.
