Frost-clad knights, eternal enemies of the Fire Giants

The Heroes of Zamor
'Armor worn by knights of Zamor, hailed as heroes in the War against the Giants. These long-lived warriors, clad in biting, freezing winds, are said to have been the mortal enemies of the Fire Giants since time immemorial.' The Heroes of Zamor are an order of long-lived warriors who fought for the Erdtree in the War against the Giants, the campaign Marika ordered to extinguish the Flame of Ruin atop the Mountaintops, the only fire that could ever burn the Erdtree itself. Zamor is a frost-cloaked town in the snow-walked north ; its knights wear masks of ice and wield curved swords whose edges are styled after icy wind. Their elemental affinity made them the canonical counterweight to the Fire Giants, and the Erdtree's chosen instrument for the giants' suppression.
'Ice sorcery of the Town of Zamor. Strike the ground with the staff to create a freezing tornado. Charging enhances potency. Cloaked in icy tempests, the knights of Zamor have challenged the Fire Giants since ancient times.' Their war ended in the Order's favour. The last Fire Giant was bound to the Forge by Marika's pact, his fellow giants extinguished, and the Heroes of Zamor were left without an enemy worth their winters. The Walking Mausoleum guarded by an Ancient Hero of Zamor in the Mountaintops is the canon's quiet memorial : a knight whose order outlived its purpose, walking forever beside a demigod whose body cannot be revived, in the snowfield where their order's last battle was won.
