The Fire Giant is the last survivor of the Giant race, annihilated during the War against the Giants by Godfrey and his armies. This war was waged because the Giants controlled the Forge of the Giants' Flame of Ruin atop the Mountaintops, a cosmic flame capable of burning the Erdtree. Marika, to protect her Order, had the Giants crushed and the flame contained. The last surviving Giant was cursed by Marika herself: "O trifling giant, mayest thou tend thy flame for eternity." This curse, documented in the Remembrance of the Fire Giant, condemned him to guard the Forge of Ruin forever, living and suffering, witness to his people's annihilation. His massive body with only one functional leg and an eye embedded in his torso bears the scars of centuries of imprisonment and solitude. The Giants' Flame incantations (Giant's Flame, Flame, Fall Upon Them, Fire's Deadly Sin) are ritual legacies of his annihilated lineage. His defeat at the Flame Peak is the necessary step to rekindle the flame and burn the Erdtree, Melina or the Tarnished then using the flame Marika had contained to burn the Impenetrable Thorns, ironically accomplishing what the Giants once threatened.

Remembrance of the Fire GiantRemembrance of Fire Giant, hewn into the Erdtree. The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader. Alternatively, it can be used to gain a great bounty of runes. The Fire Giant is a survivor of the War against the Giants. Upon realizing the flames of their forge would never die, Queen Marika marked him with a curse. "O trifling giant, mayest thou tend thy flame for eternity."
Finger Reader Enia (Dialogue)You must find kindling. Only the smoldering flame in the Great Forge of the Giants, on the highest peak in the Lands Between, can burn the Erdtree. But special kindling is required to reignite the flame. For the flame to burn the Erdtree, a sacrifice is needed.
Zamor Ice StormCharging enhances potency. Cloaked in icy tempests, the knights of Zamor have challenged the Fire Giants since ancient times.
Troll's Golden SwordSword given to the giants who fought for the Erdtree during the War against the Giants long ago. Though the giants have lost their minds, they stay inseparable from their swords that are in sad shape—such that the gold plating had flaked away.
Zamor Curved SwordWeapon wielded by the knights of Zamor who earned great renown during the War against the Giants. In apparent devotion to winter, the curved blade is styled after an icy wind and imbued with a powerful frost effect.
Giant's Red BraidHefty whip woven from the flame-red hair of a Fire Giant. Every giant is red of hair, and Radagon was said to have despised his own red locks. Perhaps that was a curse of their kind.
Giant-CrusherA hammer made from a boulder, used in the War against the Giants. One of the heftiest weapons in the entire Lands Between. After the giants were quelled, and man turned against man in violence, this weapon was all but forgotten. Man has grown feeble in comparison to his forebears.
Giant's SealSacred seal depicting the one-eyed god of the Fire Giants, adorned with braids of red hair. Sacred seal wielded by Fire Monks and Prelates, this catalyst enhances Giants' Flame incantations.
