The Mountaintops of the Giants stretch above the clouds, a frozen waste at the very edge of the Lands Between. Here once lived the Fire Giants, a people whose bodies were forges and whose duty, given to them by the Greater Will, was to tend the flame that could one day burn the Erdtree. When Marika's reign began, she had Godfrey lead the Tarnished against the giants in a long, terrible war. All but one were slain, and the survivor was cursed by Marika to tend the dying flame for eternity.

It is to this peak that Melina, the Kindling Maiden, asks the Tarnished to bring her: she must be sacrificed in the Forge of the Giants to set the Erdtree alight. Beyond the snowy passes lies the frozen river of the Consecrated Snowfield, gateway to Miquella's hidden Haligtree.

A hammer made from a boulder, used in the War against the Giants. One of the heftiest weapons in the entire Lands Between. After the giants were quelled, and man turned against man in violence, this weapon was all but forgotten. Man has grown feeble in comparison to his forebears.
