The Fire Monks are a religious order devoted to the Fire Giant and to preserving the Flame of Ruin that the Golden Order sought to extinguish. Their armor (Fire Monk Armor set) is described as worn by monks who guard the flame, heavy, functional, marked with ash and char. They reside primarily in the Mountaintops of the Giants and Flame Peak, where the Forge of the Giants sits. The Fire Monk Hood specifies their role: they serve as both warrior-monks and ritual keepers. They wield incantations of fire that predate golden grace, giant-derived flame magic (Giant's Flame, Flame, Fall Upon Them, Flame of the Fell God) rooted in the Giants' cosmology of fire as primal purification. The fire they guard is described as capable of burning the Erdtree itself. The Giants' ritual of fire worship involved the Zamor Knights (who served General Radahn and carried their own cold fire magic, Zamor Ice Storm) as a counterpart order. Fire Prelates, the elite rank among Fire Monks, wearing massive helms and carrying colossal flails, are the ceremonial leaders of the order. Their continued existence and devotion to a dead race's flame represents one of the few surviving pre-Order religious traditions.
