◈ NPCBlackguard Big Boggart
Iron-masked convict-mercenary at Boilprawn Shack, friend of Dung Eater's victim

Blackguard Big Boggart
'Iron mask forced on convicted prisoners. Worn by the blackguard Big Boggart. To Boggart, the mask made him all the more threatening, and helped him get what he wanted. But it was also a mirror of his emptiness.' Boggart is a former convict, the iron mask he wears is the canonical mark of a man whose sentence has not been forgotten. He took the mask from a guard and never removed it. Most of the realm reads the mask as a threat ; Boggart had begun to read it the same way, and the canonical detail is the gentlest indictment of self : the mask was also a mirror of his emptiness.
'The Blackguard's bell bearing, found upon his perished flesh. Offer to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to gain access to new items.' He runs a small boilprawn shack on the Liurnian shore, selling the boiled prawns that briefly raise the eater's defence. He is gruff, cheap, and surprisingly kind to anyone who asks about Dolores or about Nepheli. The Tarnished may bring him news of his old friend Dung Eater's victim, a girl whose corpse Dung Eater is using to spread his curse, and Boggart will travel north in his iron mask to find her grave. He dies on that journey, masked still, and his bell-bearing arrives at the Twin Maiden Husks via an unspecified courier ; whoever found him cared enough to send the bearing back.
