❋ DLC NPCThiollier of the Sleeping Sword
Saint Trina's mortal lover, poisoner who tasted velvety sleep just once

Thiollier of the Sleeping Sword
'The dark attire of those who wield poison in secret. The silver hair is arranged in the same style as St. Trina's, increasing arcane. Additionally, countless needles are sewn onto the exterior, apparently for talismanic effect.' Thiollier is the canon's most quietly tragic DLC pilgrim, a poisoner-priest who shaped his hair to match Saint Trina's silver locks long before he ever met her, who walks the Realm of Shadow asking each shrine where the saint's final resting place lies. The needles sewn into his garb are talismanic, not medical. He carries them because Trina is the goddess of sleep, and sleep is the only mercy his order recognises.
'A mask upon which is carved a tranquil sleeping face. The silver hair is arranged in the same style as St. Trina's, increasing arcane. Just once, Thiollier was granted the sweet repose of velvety sleep. The remainder of his days would be spent attempting to recapture it.' He found her, just once, in a chamber beneath an Abyssal Woods crypt, Saint Trina, half-conscious in her own ampoule, the suppressed feminine fragment of Miquella's soul. She kissed him into sleep. The mask he carries afterward is the carved image of that one moment, frozen in tranquillity. His last canonical request to the Tarnished is the cruelest in the DLC : if you reach the Promised Consort and you must, please, please end his beloved before Miquella's reabsorbed will reclaims her. The poisoner has spent his career inducing sleep ; the only sleep he wants to give is hers.
