Thiollier of the Slumber

Confessor to St Trina, perfumer of unmaking sleep

"Just once, Thiollier was granted the sweet repose of velvety sleep. The remainder of his days would be spent attempting to recapture it."

From Thiollier's Mask description

Thiollier was once a perfumer of the Lands Between, whose mother was a sleeper of incurable rest. Searching for the source of her affliction, he learned of St Trina and of the violet flowers that bloom over her tomb. He came to the Realm of Shadow, brewed his mother's old draught into a needle of poison, and devoted himself entirely to the saint's cause: that her brother Miquella be undone before he becomes a god.

If the Tarnished follows the path Trina suggests, Thiollier provides the means: a needle of St Trina's poison that, plunged into Miquella at the moment of his ascension, can break the charm without slaying him. Thiollier himself is a quiet man who calls each brew a confession, and who keeps a flower of his mother's room in a glass at his belt at all times.

An ebony-black concoction mixed by Thiollier. A condensed, somniferous elixir, purported to be capable of putting even an ancient dragon to sleep. For an ordinary mortal, a single sip would assuredly result in swift and certain death. Thiollier thought of St. Trina's sleep when he created this, but the ebony sleep he concocted had not the sweetness of nectar nor the gentleness of rest's embrace.
