Moore is the canon's smallest, saddest figure of the Realm of Shadow. He travels with the forager brood, a non-human community whose pickled-liver cookbooks the Tarnished gathers across the Land of Shadow ; the cookbook flavour text records that the recipes were 'shared out of kindness toward Moore and his kin.' Moore wields a verdigris-green greatshield and the Moore's Charge skill, a defensive shove that knocks back enemies but, the description notes, 'does not cause significant harm.' He wields no killing weapon ; he was never trained for one.

His arc closes around grief. He carries a black syrup, gathered and aged by the forager brood, that he asks the Tarnished to deliver to Thiollier, Saint Trina's lone disciple, as a last gift to a friend he can no longer reach. Thiollier accepts the syrup as a means to capture Saint Trina's velvety sleep one final time. Moore, his task delivered, dies of an unknowable gentle poison ; his bell bearing, which the Twin Maiden Husks of the Roundtable Hold accept after his death, is the canon's last small handshake with the kindly. He is the proof, against everything Messmer's flame argued, that the Realm of Shadow had kindness in it.
