Tiche is one of the few Black Knife Assassins whose name the canon preserves. The Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ash description tells her arc in three sentences : 'Tiche was one of the assassins who, on the night of the plot, imbued her black knife with the Rune of Death and slew Godwyn the Golden. She was the daughter of the Black Knife Ringleader, Alecto, and was killed protecting her mother during their flight from the royal capital.'
The lineage is small but heavy. The Black Knife Assassins were Numen women, kin of Marika herself ; the Black Knife Ringleader Alecto was the Numen who organised the assassinations Ranni's plot required ; Tiche was Alecto's daughter, raised inside the order, present on the Night of the Black Knives, fleeing south afterward when the Capital began to hunt them. She did not survive the flight. Her body was interred at the Ringleader's Evergaol on the windswept Mountaintops, where Alecto, her mother, fights on alone. The Tarnished can summon Tiche's spirit, the dagger-throwing assassin in white whose every strike applies Death's wound, and she will fight one last time for someone who is not her mother.
