◈ NPCAlbus, the Old Albinauric
Pot-bodied last carrier of the Haligtree's right medallion

Albus, the Old Albinauric
'Right half of a split medallion depicting the Haligtree. Brandishing the medallion with both halves conjoined will activate the Grand Lift of Rold, granting access to a hidden path. In other words, this secret medallion will guide the bearer to the land of Miquella's Haligtree.' Albus is the last carrier of the right half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, the artifact that, joined with its twin (kept by Latenna at the Slumbering Wolf's Shack), opens the hidden Grand Lift of Rold to the Consecrated Snowfield. He hides in plain sight at Mt. Gelmir, disguised as one of the wandering pot-people whose ceramic bodies provide the perfect refuge for an albinauric whose entire community has been hunted to extinction.
'The thick, coagulated blood of the Albinaurics. Material used for crafting items. Albinaurics are lifeforms made by human hands. Thus, many believe them to live impure lives, untouched by the Erdtree's grace.' Albus's body, squat, ceramic-armoured, recognizably albinauric only when one knows where to look, is the canon's testimony to a near-extinction. The Albinaurics were artificial life made by Carian sorcery ; the orthodox Erdtree faith never recognised them as living, and the Cleanrot Knights' march through Liurnia and the snowfield was a methodical purge. Albus is one of perhaps three named survivors. He gives the medallion to a stranger because there are no kin left to give it to. He asks the Tarnished to carry the news to Latenna, who is dying of the same hunt, several mountains south.
