The Cult is the ceremonial dragon-cult of Leyndell knights who, after Godwyn defeated and befriended Fortissax during the War of the Ancient Dragons, adopted lightning-incantations as a sworn discipline.

Each is the lightning of a real ancient dragon, copied by faith into the human body of a Capital knight. Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff is the cult's most decorated example : a Leyndell knight who earned Erdtree Burial for the capture of Godefroy the Grafted, and whose spirit ash strikes foes with the dragons' weapon of choice. The cult's existence is the small reason Godwyn, before his soul-death, was the one demigod no Erdtree faithful felt compelled to mistrust.
