Nokron and Nokstella are sister-cities of an order that came before the Erdtree, suspended in eternal night within the great chasms below the Lands Between. They worshipped the stars and the Black Moon, served by the Silver Tears, shapeshifting mercury-life, and ruled in a quiet pantheism without a sun. Then the Eternal City committed an act so blasphemous the canon refuses to name it directly : an act associated with the Black Knives and the theft of Death. As punishment, the Greater Will fell upon them. They were buried alive.
