Limgrave

Cradle of the Tarnished, gate of the windswept plains

Limgrave is the green threshold of the Lands Between, the first land a Tarnished sees after waking in the Stranded Graveyard. Its windswept plains, scattered with ruined churches and dragon-burnt clearings, roll far south of the Erdtree, beneath ever-clouded skies. Now they are walked by Wandering Mausoleums, by graveyard-dwelling beasts, and by every kind of demi-human, undead, and crucible-touched survivor of older ages. The Roundtable Hold itself lies on no map of these lands: a Tarnished reaches it only when Melina offers to take them there.

The region is dominated by Stormveil Castle in the north, by the ruined coast of the Weeping Peninsula in the south, and by the dragon-haunted East Limgrave with its Caelid border. The Site of Grace called The First Step marks the Tarnished's arrival on the open plain, and close by stands the Church of Elleh, the church where, legend holds, the wandering merchant Kalé tends a fire whose origin no merchant guild can explain.
