Limgrave is the green threshold of the Lands Between, the first land a Tarnished sees after waking in the Stranded Graveyard. Its windswept plains, scattered with ruined churches and dragon-burnt clearings, were once the granary of the Erdtree. Now they are walked by Wandering Mausoleums, by graveyard-dwelling beasts, by the surviving knights of Castellan Jerren's order, and by every kind of demi-human, undead, and crucible-touched survivor of older ages. Beneath one of its dungeons, the Roundtable Hold's gate is hidden.

The region is dominated by Stormveil Castle in the north, by the ruined coast of the Weeping Peninsula in the south, and by the dragon-haunted East Limgrave with its Caelid border. Marika is said to have grown up here in a humble village, and the iconic Site of Grace where the Tarnished is first crowned a maiden's chosen sits in the Church of Elleh, the same church where, legend holds, the wandering merchant Kalé tends a fire whose origin no merchant guild can explain.
