Weeping Peninsula

Castle Morne, the Misbegotten revolt, the Tower of Return

The Weeping Peninsula is the rainy southern arm of Limgrave, a region of cold drizzle and salt-washed cliffs that ends at Castle Morne. The castle was the seat of Lord Edgar, who let the local Misbegotten labour his marble quarries until his daughter Irina befriended one of their kind. When Edgar refused to abandon his cruelty, the Misbegotten under Leonine the eldest rose up, slew the household, and took the castle. The Tarnished may meet a maddened Edgar wandering the cliffs of the Roundtable Hold long after the events.

At the peninsula's eastern shore stands the Tower of Return, a Carian conjuration that lifts the unwary up to the snowy reaches of the Mountaintops, far ahead of the natural pace of the journey. The Tarnished may also find here the small Church of Pilgrimage, where the Roundtable Hold's pilgrims once disembarked, and the corpse of the warrior Limgrave-born Diallos's brother, slain by raiders during a moment of grace's withdrawal.
