Weeping Peninsula

Castle Morne, the Misbegotten revolt, the Tower of Return

The Weeping Peninsula is the rainy southern arm of Limgrave, a region of cold drizzle and salt-washed cliffs that ends at Castle Morne. The castle was held by Edgar, its warden and commander, ordained by Lord Godrick himself. Its Misbegotten menials, led by the Leonine Misbegotten, rose up, slew the household, and took the castle; the creature now holds the treasured sword of Morne that Edgar stayed behind to guard. Edgar's daughter Irina, escaped to the roadside, begs the Tarnished to carry a letter to her father; the Tarnished may later find Edgar grieving over her body, and face him at last as the invader Edgar the Revenger.

On the peninsula's shore stands the Tower of Return, whose trapped chest spirits the unwary all the way to the Divine Bridge at Leyndell, far ahead of the natural pace of the journey. The Tarnished may also find the small Church of Pilgrimage, one of the churches where spoken echoes of Queen Marika linger still.
