Stormhill & Castle Morne

Limgrave's foothills, the Misbegotten siege, Edgar's ruin

Stormhill is the southern range of Limgrave's foothills, the windswept passes the Tarnished walks before reaching Stormveil. Two of the canon's smallest, saddest arcs play out across this ground. Roderika, the Spirit Tuner, sits at the Stormhill Shack alone, the Roderika of canon's tellings was a leader of a small caravan from the Weeping Peninsula whose people 'crossed the sea for me. They fought, for me' and were grafted en masse by Godrick's experiments at Stormveil. She is the only survivor.

South of Stormhill, on the Weeping Peninsula's coast, is Castle Morne, the second of the two arcs. The Monument: Siege of Castle Morne records its end as one line : 'A lone hero fights for his vengeance. Only to fall at the hand of Lord Godfrey.' That hero is Castellan Edgar, Roderika's father, sworn castellan of Castle Morne, whose Misbegotten servants rose against him during the Shattering. The Grafted Blade Greatsword found in the castle's ruins is his : 'a revenger's weapon, burdened with oceans of anger and regret. A lone surviving champion from a country now vanished was so determined to continue fighting that he claimed the swords of an entire clan of warriors.' Edgar fought the Misbegotten alone, lost his daughter Irina to them, and was slain by Godfrey when he turned south for revenge.
