Fortress of the Grafted, gate of Limgrave

Stormveil Castle
Stormveil is the first great fortress the Tarnished must conquer, perched on a windswept cliff at the northern edge of Limgrave. It was once the seat of Godrick the Grafted, the diluted-blood demigod who clung to power by stitching the limbs of the dead onto his own withered body. The castle is named for the storms that wreath its towers, winds said to be the breath of Godfrey himself, who first took Stormveil in the early days of the Erdtree.
Long before Godrick, Stormveil was the seat of the Storm Hawk people, a now-vanished tribe whose feathers and rune-marks still appear in the castle's heraldry. The Banished Knights, the wind-cloaked warriors who once served Godfrey, retreated here after their lord was stripped of grace and exiled across the fog. Their oaths to a fallen king made them outcasts. They serve Godrick now only because he is the last of the line.
Remembrance of the GraftedRemembrance of Godrick, the Grafted, hewn into the Erdtree. A feeble man sought power through the grotesque act of grafting. 'One day we'll return together, to our home, bathed in rays of gold.'
Thick, full set of armor covering the entire body. This armor was worn by knights who, whether by misfortune or misdeed, were forced to abandon their homes. These fierce warriors were each and all accomplished. Perhaps that is why, despite their territorial losses, they were still named knights.
