Sellia, Town of Sorcery, is the second great glintstone-sorcery centre in the Lands Between, older than Raya Lucaria but smaller, hidden in the rotted hills of eastern Caelid behind a torch-puzzle gate. Its name survives only in the items its sorcerers produced. The Ambush Shard sorcery flavour text gives the town's character with one line : 'One of the night sorceries of Sellia, Town of Sorcery. Launches a projectile from a distance removed from the caster, so as to strike the enemy from behind. The Sellian sorcerers were assassins, and it is said that they often hunted their fellows.' Sellia's specialty is sorcery as covert assassination, what the academy at Raya Lucaria taught as theory, Sellia practised as profession.

Two of its most famous students are still living. Sorceress Sellen, the heretic the Tarnished meets in the Waypoint Ruins, fled from Sellia's stricter rituals to Raya Lucaria and was eventually expelled from there too ; her quest is to undo Lusat's seal at Sellia's Hermit Village. Primeval current sorcerer Lusat himself was sealed by his own town in the Sellian tower the Sealbreaker key opens. The Eternal Darkness sorcery the town hoarded comes from a still-older origin : 'Forbidden sorcery of Sellia, Town of Sorcery. Creates a space of darkness that draws in sorceries and incantations. Originally a lost sorcery of the Eternal City; the despair that brought about its ruin made manifest.' Sellia's deepest crafts are inherited from Nokron and Nokstella before they fell, the assassin-school's true ancestor is the Eternal City itself.
