The Six Endings

What kind of world the Tarnished may forge

The Tarnished's victory over Marika is not a single ending. The Two Fingers' default crowning, the Age of Fracture, simply restores the broken Order to its former state. The Goldmask ending, the Age of Order, refines the Order with a Mending Rune of perfect law. The Fia ending, the Age of the Duskborn, brings Destined Death back to the Order through Godwyn's flesh. The Dung Eater ending, the Blessing of Despair, smears all souls with the Omen's curse and births a new world of grafted suffering.

Two endings break the Order entirely. The Frenzied Flame ending answers the Three Fingers' call : the Tarnished crowns themselves Lord of Frenzy and the Erdtree burns, every life consumed in yellow flame. Ranni's ending, the Age of the Stars, sends the Greater Will away : grace, gold, and the Two Fingers themselves recede from the Lands Between, replaced by a thousand-year voyage governed by the wisdom of the Moon. Each ending is final. The fallen leaves tell, in each case, a different story.
