The Golden Lineage
'A Great Rune of the shardbearer Godrick. Its blessing raises all attributes. This Great Rune is known as the anchor ring, found in the center of the Elden Ring. The first demigods were The Elden Lord Godfrey and his offspring, the golden lineage.' The Golden Lineage is the canonical first family of demigods. Godfrey is its patriarch, the first Elden Lord, married to Marika before Radagon, father of Godwyn the Golden and the twin Omens Morgott and Mohg. Their Great Runes are described as anchor rings, the rune-fragments at the centre of the Elden Ring's broken constellation.
'A Great Rune of the shardbearer Morgott. Its blessing greatly raises maximum HP. This Great Rune is the anchor ring that houses the base, and proves two things: That the Omen King was born of the golden lineage, and that he was indeed the Lord of Leyndell.' Morgott's Great Rune carries a small bureaucratic miracle in its flavour text : it is described as the anchor ring that houses the base, and the canon offers it as legal proof of two facts the Order had been suppressing. First, that the Omen King, born horned, exiled to the sewers, was nonetheless of the golden lineage. Second, that he was the rightful Lord of Leyndell. The Order's silence about Morgott's lineage during his lifetime was, the rune confesses posthumously, a deliberate erasure of the canonical record.
