❋ DLC · PRIESTCount Ymir, High Priest
Sorcerer of Manus Metyr, the man who would be the true mother

Count Ymir, High Priest
"I will be the true mother. My fingers will grant us redemption!"
From the Finger Robe description
"It was merely the closest of the celestial bodies. Nothing more."
From the High Priest Hat description
Count Ymir is the high priest of Manus Metyr, the Cathedral of the Mother of Fingers, the same Metyr that Ranni's mother-line first received celestial messages from. The hat he wears is the canon's quietest doctrinal statement : its circular crown 'represents the Greater Will and its lightless abyss.' He once instructed Rellana, the Twin-Moon Knight, in the sorcerous arts before she left Liurnia ; he then abandoned his allegiance to the moon altogether. The flavour text gives the line he used to dismiss the Carian heritage : 'It was merely the closest of the celestial bodies. Nothing more.'
What Ymir wants is older and stranger than another Order. The Finger Robe describes a body whose front is open, fingers squirming beneath the cloth, the image of his desire 'having broken free, laying bare his greatest wish.' That wish, the robe quotes him stating, is : 'I will be the true mother. My fingers will grant us redemption.' Ymir has decided that Metyr is broken, that the Greater Will has gone silent, that the cycle of Empyrean chosen-by-Fingers is finished. He will make new fingers, his own, and a new mother. The hanging bells the Tarnished sounds across the Realm of Shadow at his bidding are the call by which he hopes the stars will redirect.
Finger RobeRobe of Count Ymir, High Priest. The front is open, exposing the squirming fingers beneath. 'I will be the true mother. My fingers will grant us redemption!'
High Priest HatThe circular design at the top represents the Greater Will and its lightless abyss. Though Count Ymir instructed Rellana in the sorcerous arts, he abandoned his allegiance to the moon. 'It was merely the closest of the celestial bodies. Nothing more.'
Hole-Laden NecklaceIt was a teaching of Count Ymir. The fate of the one who sounds the hanging bell will be guided by the stars.
