◈ ELDEN LORDHoarah Loux, Chieftain of the Badlands
Godfrey's exile-name, the Tarnished's old original lord returning to claim his throne

Hoarah Loux, Chieftain of the Badlands
'Remembrance of the warrior Hoarah Loux, hewn into the Erdtree. The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader. When Godfrey was banished from the Lands Between, he reverted to his original name and unsealed his savage warrior strength.' Hoarah Loux is what Godfrey was before he became the first Elden Lord. He was a chieftain of the badlands beyond the fog : a wild, beast-companioned warrior who hunted with a lion as his shadow, took heads with his bare hands, and wore no king's crown. The Greater Will called him to the Lands Between specifically because of those qualities, they wanted a warrior, not a courtier, and Marika married him, and he ruled at her side as the founder of the Order. Then, when his work was done, Marika stripped his grace and exiled him back to the badlands. He reverted. The lion stayed. The crown was lost.
'Arise now, ye Tarnished. Ye dead, who yet live. The call of long-lost grace speaks to us all. Hoarah Loux, chieftain of the badlands.' The intro narration names him among the lord-candidates because he is the original. The Tarnished, in his ending, walks Hoarah Loux back through the gates of the Erdtree, defeats him in single combat at the throne-room (he attacks for the right to be lord first), and inherits the title of Elden Lord-and-Consort : the Age of Fracture closes by restoring the Order as it originally was, with the original man on the throne. It is the canon's most conservative ending. Marika is dead, Godfrey-Hoarah-Loux is dead, the Tarnished is the new lord by inheritance. Goldmask would say the Order is unmended. Hoarah Loux would say his job is finally over.
