The Carian Royal House
The Carian Royal House ruled the lake-province of Liurnia long before Marika's reign and joined the Erdtree's order only through political marriage. Their gods were the moons : the Full Moon, the Dark Moon, and a third, lost moon their oldest daughter Rellana would later hammer into a sword. Their craft was glintstone sorcery, the science of stars. Their seat was Raya Lucaria, the academy of letters and lunar magic that crowned the rock at the heart of Liurnia.
Their sovereign during the Shattering was Rennala, who had married Radagon to bind the Carian and Erdtree houses; their children, Ranni, Marigga, and the long-vanished third sibling, all became Empyreans of one kind or another. Radagon eventually left her to take Marika as his second wife, and Rennala broke. From that grief came Ranni's plot against the Greater Will, the forging of the Black Knives, and ultimately the Age of Stars Ranni would crown for herself.
One of the sorceries of the Carian royal family. Conjures a magic sword and delivers a swift sweeping slash. This sorcery can be used without delay after performing another action. Even among the Carian sword sorceries, this is a notably effective technique.
A talisman adorned with the royal crest. Lowers FP consumed by skills. An honor said to have once been awarded to Carian knights who served as direct retainers to the kingdom's princesses. Now there is only one princess: Ranni, daughter of Rennala.
Remembrance of the Full Moon QueenRemembrance of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, hewn into the Erdtree. In her youth, Rennala was a prominent champion who charmed the academy with her lunar magic, becoming its master. She also led the Glintstone Knights and established the house of Caria as royalty.
