◈ DRAGONSLansseax and Florissax, Priestess Dragons
Ancient dragons who took human form to commune with knights
Lansseax and Florissax, Priestess Dragons
Lansseax is the sister of Lichdragon Fortissax, Godwyn the Golden's sworn friend, the dragon who fought long and hard against the Death within the Prince of Death's body. Lansseax's Glaive incantation describes her own departure from the dragon-form: 'Lansseax was the sister of Fortissax. It is said that she took the form of a human to commune with the knights as a priestess of the ancient dragon cult.' She is the canon's most explicit example of a great dragon assuming a smaller, mortal shape, a priestess incarnate among the same Leyndell knights who, after Godwyn's death, would worship her brother as a god of red lightning.
Her namesake, kin perhaps (no game text ever states the bond), is Florissax, the ancient dragon who walked the Realm of Shadow and, in time, came to know love. Vyke's Dragonbolt remembers Lansseax's own tenderness: 'Of all the knights, Vyke the Dragonspear was the one Lansseax loved the most.' Florissax, in her turn, finds her own knight in the Tarnished: the Ancient Dragon Florissax Spirit Ash description records the moment, 'Florissax assumed this spirit form to offer her service to a new lord.' Two priestess-dragons, two human knights chosen: the same fold of grace, repeated in two names so alike that the ear hears a lineage the canon never spells out.
Lansseax's GlaiveIncantation that channels the power of the ancient dragon Lansseax. Lansseax was the sister of Fortissax. It is said that she took the form of a human to commune with the knights as a priestess of the ancient dragon cult.
Of all the knights, Vyke the Dragonspear was the one Lansseax loved the most.
Dragonbolt of FlorissaxSpecial incantation of the ancient dragon Florissax. There was a time when the priestess never knew love, and thus never used this incantation herself.
Florissax assumed this spirit form to offer her service to a new lord.
