◈ LINEAGE

Marika's Children

Every demigod, every line, every fate

Marika's offspring trace through three unions. With Godfrey the first Elden Lord she bore Godwyn the Golden, the demigod loved above all others; Morgott and Mohg, twin Omens born of a corrupted womb and exiled to the sewers; and possibly Messmer the Impaler, the eldest, sealed away in the Realm of Shadow with his crusade of fire. With Radagon, who was secretly herself, she bore the twin prodigies Miquella and Malenia, both Empyrean and both cursed at birth. Through Radagon's earlier marriage to Rennala she also raised Ranni, Marigga, and a third Carian sibling.

Of these eight or nine children, only Godwyn died true death; Morgott alone defended the Erdtree at the Shattering; Mohg founded a counter-dynasty in the underworld; Malenia bloomed scarlet rather than yield to Radahn; Miquella discarded his flesh for godhood; Ranni murdered her own body to flee her destiny; Messmer was struck from every chronicle. Every demigod that the Tarnished must defeat is one of Marika's, and the final cinematic, Marika beating the Elden Ring with her own hammer, is the act of a mother who can no longer bear what she has made.

Thus, this new Order will be one of Death restored.

WeaponMarika's Soreseal

This legendary talisman is an eye engraved with an Elden Rune, said to be the seal of Queen Marika. Solemn duty weighs upon the one beholden; not unlike a gnawing curse from which there is no deliverance.

Boss LoreRemembrance of the Impaler
